I generally dislike a snotty response from more knowledgeable forum members, but in this case, MPACK IS RIGHT!!! (sorry, couldn't resist). Justinrpg, I looked through some of your recent threads.
In the current thread, you complained of internet disconnects for Ubuntu only (I presume), but five days later,
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=49796&p=226734#p226734 on May 31 you noted you had slow guest internet access for all of your guests. Seven days later still, in this thread you mentioned that the disconnects continue, with no response at all about the slow internet. Has the slowness been fixed for the other, non-Ubuntu guests? If so, please post to the thread that the issue is resolved so that the next guy who uses google can find the solution.
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=49347&p=224548#p224548 About a month ago you said the guests crash after an hour. Perryg tried to work with you. Again, was that resolved? Do your guests still crash after an hour? If it is resolved, please post to the thread that the issue is resolved so that the next guy who uses google can find the solution.
I could go on, but let's talk about the current issue. I am going to assume that the guests no longer crash after an hour and have good connection speed, while only the Ubuntu guest lacks internet connectivity.
Let's start with some basics. How is the guest networking configured? NAT? Bridged? Something else? When the guest starts up, what is the status of its network devices? What does "ifconfig -a" say? Is the guest configured with a static or dynamic IP address? Can the guest access anything on the LAN or is it only lacking internet connectivity? If you trace the route from the guest to an internet host, how far does it get? How does that trace vary from the trace of another guest?
In other words, how much of the internet stack is functioning and where does the breakdown in the stack occur?
