Hi to all,
is there some way to copy some file from host to guest when the guest machine is off?
I need that the virtual machine, after startup can found several file, important to execution of the task. The files are different each time so i can not create a virtual appliance with those files.
I found this command: "vboxmanage guestcontrol cp" but it is working only if the vm is on, and then it need a guest addition and i prefer to have not this obligation.
Thanks a lot.

Re: Copy file from host to guest when vm is off
It depends on the guest application. If the app can configured to process files in a shared folder, then the host can place files in that shared folder even when the guest VM is not running.
