Upgrade from 3.1.x to 4.x causing all my Windows to BSOD

I recently (just now) upgraded from 3.1.x to 4.1.14 and now all my Windows guests won't run. :evil:

Windows 7 and Vista showing BSOD
Windows XP does not even show the bootuplogo

right now, I am only concerned in my Windows 7 guest because all my work are in that guests!


darn I lost the logs.. I uninstalled it and going back to 3.1 or 3.2

I was able to breath now ..
I went back to version 3.1.4r57640 and I can finally use my Windows 7 guest.
though it wasn't working when I used version 3.2

what do you think is the difference between those two?

I updated to 3.1.8 and Windows 7 worked and then I updated to 3.2.14r75509

and Windows 7 worked.. going higher to 4.0

3.2.x to 4.0.16r75491 worked ... and hoping I could go further to 4.1

and finally, I am using 4.1

No, because that would be a waste of time. Useful information is in the guest logs, or in the BSOD text. Not in some video.

In other words, the video provides absolutely no useful information beyond what you already wrote (and there's nothing to go on there). I hope it didn't take you too much effort to create the video.

I WAS actually going to give the logs, but unfortunately, I have already uninstalled the first installation of 4.1. So the logs were all gone.

and nope, I did not put too much effort making the video.
