Is teleportation really broken?

Post by Twisted Lucidity »

When preparing for a talk on virtualisation (and using VBox for the demo), I ran into bug #9455 and it has been bothering me ever since.

Teleportation can't really be broken can it? What makes me think it is something I am doing wrong are threads like this one where people ask for teleportation to be added to the GUI - why ask for options on the GUI for a broken feature?

It is also such a "big ticket" feature to lose that I simply have to be doing something wrong.

If it just affects a small-subset of platforms and I happen to have the unlucky combination...well that sucks, but that's life!

And yes, I have read the docs. :P

That's a bug and this bug is still not fixed. This is annoying but we still have no time to look at it. Other tasks with a higher priority need our attention. Sorry.

That's totally fine. I just got suspicious that it was me going mental.

I totally understand that you have other priorities.
But I hear tell that a human only needs 6 hours sleep. :P
