Screwed up config?

Post by JaySee »

I seem to have a screwed up config file for a virtual windows XP. Every time I go to change a setting via the gui it spits this error at me.

Failed to save the settings of the virtual machine Windows XP to /home/jon/VirtualBox VMs/Windows XP/Windows XP.vbox.

Code: Select all

Controller 'IDE Controller' does not support hotplugging.

Result Code: VBOX_E_INVALID_VM_STATE (0x80BB0002)
Component: SessionMachine
Interface: IMachine {5eaa9319-62fc-4b0a-843c-0cb1940f8a91}
I've looked through the main config file for my VM (th .vbox file) but can't find anything. I'll keep looking, but any help would be much appreciated.

Post the *.vbox file as an attachment (change the extension to txt because VBox does not allow the vbox extension)

Do you have another guest or is this the only one?
The machine id does not match the guests machine id that you posted.
