Dual monitor trouble using Win 7 Aero

Hi everyone...any help on this would be great.

I am running VirtualBox 4.1.14 on Ubuntu 12.04. My graphics card is a GeForce GT430 (driver version 295.40). In VirtualBox settings my video memory is set to 256, 3d and 2d acceleration are enabled. I have gone through the steps to install WDDM support on my Windows 7 client and it works fine when using only one monitor (in any display mode), however, when I enable a second monitor both screens flash frequently, my second screen is primarily black, my mouse position becomes skewed, and the os generally becomes unusable. Without Aero effects enabled dual monitors work seamlessly.

This is a critical issue for me...like I said, any help would be great.

I experienced a similar issue running a Ubuntu 12.04 guest on a Windows 7 host with Aero enabled. My graphics card is a nVidia Quadro 1000M. The guest was configured with 128 MB of video memory and had 3d acceleration turned on. In this configuration I found that the mouse pointer would disappear occasionally while moving it, the shadows dropped from UI elements would continue to darken over time until they were thick black lines, and menus would disappear seconds after clicking on them, only allowing you to see what was selected.

I was able to remedy this problem by turning off 3d acceleration. This isn't an ideal solution, but as I do not require 3d acceleration for the work I do in my guest environment, it will work for now. Hope this helps.
