Cannot use network on Windows Guest

Running VirtualBox 4.1.4 on a Dell XPS with Win7 as the Host OS

Guest is Win2003.

It doesnt seem to matter if I use NAT or Bridged or which network card I select it just doesn't work

I have MAC filtering turned on on the D-link router but the MAC address for the guest OS is in the allowed list. I have Norton Anti Virus and Smart Firewall turned on

I have no idea how to start troubleshooting this can someone point me in the right direction???

I would look at the firewall for a place to create an exception to allow the guest to work.
