Moving a VM to another host. (I only have the VM files)

Hello,
I'm trying to move a fedora 16 virtual machine to another host.
The host that I had this VM is been damage so I can't use the clone method or any other export mechanism. I only have the installation folder.
I added the machine from MACHINE>ADD with success but I can only boot to Emergency mode.
Any advice?
Thank you in advance

I assume you mean the VM folder, not the installation folder. The only installation folder in VBox would be where the program files are stored.
If the VM was created with VirtualBox v4 then the default layout has everything related to the VM stored in a single VM folder plus subfolders. You can simply copy the VM folder between compatible hosts (e.g. another Mac) without problems. Copying between incompatible hosts may require a little manual editing, but no serious problems. You use Machine|Add...[/i] to register the VM on the new host.
That's all the advice that's possible to give using the information you provided.
I have no idea what "boot to emergency mode" means. If you copied the VM folder and it ran that it should have worked as it did before, assuming the VM was properly shut down and not in a saved state.

I see this with Windows guests on Mac host sometimes, when there was something wrong with the previous session.
Have you let it finish booting as it 'wants to' and run whatever diagnostics it offers? It might fix itself.
Stranger things do happen.

"Emergency Mode" == "Safe Mode" ? Windows might do that for lots of reasons, but it usually offers a menu first, where "Boot normally" is the first option.
