Command & Conquer3 on Mac Host

I hope I have the terminology right.

I have a mac mini i7, 2.7 with 16gbram...
i loaded both a wp-pro and win-7-64 Virtualbox.
I have yet to get any games to run even after installing the guest additions.

The common error I get is to install direct-x 9 something ( have the latest direct x installed) and to make sure the hardware acceleration is NOT turned off.

The games ran on the XP-pro DELL xpy-410 machine with a GEforce 8400GS ( whatever or however capable this card is ).

I wonder how different the graphics card on the MAC host is from the PC version?

Any ideas?
