Trouble Creating a VM on Mac Mini (New user)

Post by RocksAndBikes »

Hi Folks

Hope someone can point me in the right direction... Downloaded and installed virtual box on the mac mini. I am the only user wilt what it claims is full administrator rights..

I went to create a new VM (the first one I have done) for Debian. I have to create the VM Folder and a file using a terminal create the RaspberryPi folder... but then I get this when I try to CREATE the actual machine...

Failed to create the hard disk storage /Users/user/VirtualBox VMs/RaspberryPi/RaspberryPi.vdi.

Could not create the medium storage unit '/Users/user/VirtualBox VMs/RaspberryPi/RaspberryPi.vdi'.

VDI: cannot create image '/Users/user/VirtualBox VMs/RaspberryPi/RaspberryPi.vdi' (VERR_ACCESS_DENIED).

Result Code:
VBOX_E_FILE_ERROR (0x80BB0004) Component:
Medium - Interface: IMedium {53f9cc0c-e0fd-40a5-a404-a7a5272082cd}

Any ideas please?

Many thanks, R&B.
