To anyone who has a SBS2003 guest:
We have Previous Versions set up for our "Shared Folders" directory. When the server reboots, the first attempt, either on the server console or a domain client, to access the Properties box (right-click menu) of "Shared Folders" or any folder or file in that directory results in a delay of some three or four minutes before the Properties box appears. When it finally does, no Previous Versions tab appears in the Properties box. If we wait some two minutes more and re-access the Properties box, then the Previous Versions tab appears and is fully functional.
I'm asking on the Microsoft Technet forum (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/For ... 8f733bb66/) and one idea has surfaced that a dll may be out of date, otherwise, the virtualization is suspected.
So I'm asking my fellow VB'ers who may be running SBS2003 as a guest, do you see this Previous Versions behavior?
(Guest in question is SBS2003, 4 processors, 4GB memory, Guest additions installed. My host is Windows 7 Professional, VB version 4.0.16, box is dual-Xeon-6core HT 2.4GHz, 48GB memory, 3 1TB Raid-1's, and 3 other XP guests.
Previous host for this VM was on VB version 3.1.2, box was single-Xeon-2core 3GHz, 3GB memory, one other XP guest; at the time thew VM had 1 processor, 1.5GB memory and GA, same Previous Versions behavior was observed.)
