Re: adobe flash
Your question is a tad vague. You don't install guest application software "in VBox". You use VirtualBox to create Virtual Machines, you install guest operating systems in those VMs, and - if the guest OS happens to be one supported by Adobe flash - you can install Adobe flash in the guest OS inside the VM. You may need to enable 2D acceleration to get acceptable video results (Windows guests only) - and it's never going to have native performance.

OK, I installed VBox on an imac, OS 10.73. Running WIndows XP in VBOx. I used Firefox (while in windows environment) to go to Adobes site, I can download Flash, but when I click on run nothing happens at all.

Sorry, we can only help you with VirtualBox problems. We can't provide beginner level tuition on how to run Windows apps! We also don't provide support for Adobe flash. I suggest you ask Adobe, or google for the info you need.
