VBox 4.1.12 and Resolutions

Post by r3plica »

Hey all,

I have been searching these forums and the internet and found no solution.
All tell me to install the guest additions, which I have done and it has not helped.

I am running VBox 4.1.12 (just upgraded) on Windows 7 (64 bit) and have a VBox with Windows 7 (32 bit). All was working fine.
When I updated, my resolution reset.
I uninstalled the guest additions and installed the new ones. A whole new list has appeared for me to choose my resolution, but the only one I want is 1920*1024 and that does not exist anymore.

Could someone please point me in the right direction...

cheers,

Use the host+f toggle to turn full screen on and off.

Make sure that auto-resize is enabled. (host+g toggle) or use the title bad view.
If it is and you are still getting black bars the guest additions are not fully installed.
