Keeping the resolution

Post by Lighty »

Hi,

I run a Windows Virtualbox on Windows XP Professional SP3. I have been told that a game I run on it (which should run at 800x600) is running at 806x625. What settings do I need to change to allow the Virtualbox to run at its natural resolution which doesn't stretch the windows etc.

Thanks.

PS. What is that ridiculous Oracle registration about!?

You can change the Windows guest resolution in the normal way (which I can't tell you since you don't mention which guest OS you use), or you can drag the VM window to the size you want. I assume you remember to install the Guest Additions.

ps. VirtualBox is the host application name. The virtual machine is called a VM or a guest.

ps. Moving this thread to "Windows Guests". Your host OS is irrelevant to the question asked.
