Hi all,
I have a setup with two VMs and one real PC. IPs of 192.168.5.10, 192.198.5.150 for the two VMs and 192.168.5.200 for the real PC. The two VMs are bridged to their own real NICs with IPs of 1 less than their virtual IP.
In the past all three of these could ping each other. I haven't used this setup for a while - perhaps a year or so - so I have no idea what's up. None of the three has even been on since I last used them.
I tried setting promiscuous mode on both VMs to "allow all" - didn't work - can't ping each other. Rebooted - tried with promiscuous mode set to "all VMs" - same issue. They cannot ping each other.
Any ideas? Theories?
Thanks,
Rob

Re: VMs can't ping each other
Enable ICMP in the guests firewall. Google for how.
Re: VMs can't ping each other
thanks for the reply, but I found the issue. Evidently sometime ago I set the VM for a NIC that wasn't enabled. Enabled the NIC and it works... Sorry to bother about something so stupid.
