Unable to install

Post by ssaz »

I was using the Version 4.1.10.
I saw the latest Version today morning so i have downloaded it and installed it.
While installing the installation bar goes till copying files and then suddenly it appears to roll back.
Then at final VM VirtualBok 4.1.12 setup wizard ended .Prematurely because of an error.Your system has not been modified. Please install at another time.
I have tried to install it lot of time. I have also tried to install the version 4.1.10 then also no use.
Help me guys

sounds like you've damaged the virtualbox registry info somehow.

First try uninstalling VB 4.1.10, then try VB 4.1.12.

This tends to happen when something was installed and you have not rebooted the host yet. For example, when I was setting up a series of PCs for a client, I discovered that installing Office 2010 does not require a reboot, but if I try installing Endpoint Protection without rebooting, it always rolls back and fails. Rebooting after installing Office fixes it.
