Are there any good articles (outside of the documentation) that show how to get started with the Java API?
What I would like to do with the Java API is to programatically clone an existing VM and launch it. On launch the VM would run some things automatically and log info to a database after startup and then shutdown.

There is no Java API, but since Oracle now owns Java they have a team working on it that should be released by the end of next week. So the rumour is.
