Need help to set up printer!!
Posted: 1. Apr 2012, 18:33
I am a new user to VB and not at all knowledgable about the language, etc. of networking ...... so, please be gentle with me.
I cannot seem to set up a printer on my VB. The internet is working fine, though. My situation may be a bit different than some and I don't know if that is why I'm having trouble. My lack of knowledge is hurting me here. I need to be able to print from programs I'm using through VB or it won't work for me.
My setup:
Host computer is Mac Lion, 10.7.3
Guest OS is Windows XP
VB is 4.1.10 r76795
In my home, I have two wireless networks: (this is because we use a Mifi to access the internet which has limited data/traffic allowed so my printer is on another network and we just switch networks on the Macs when we want to print.)
Network 1 has an HP Photosmart D100 printer connected wirelessly to an Airport Extreme
Network 2 is connected to the internet via a Mifi ....... this is working fine with VB.
Given this setup, is it even possible to print from my VB? If it is possible, I would appreciate some step by step directions .... Directions for Dummies?LOL Thank you so much for any help!
