Video problem, Mac host, XP guest

Hello,

I have a video performance problem with my window xp guest, my host is mac snow leopard.
I was having issues viewing video, wmv. mov. mp4. you name it.... And especially when trying
to use a software called EasyWorship for video projection. The software would crash as soon as
I started to use any form of video. So to try to solve that problem I changed my settings in my host.
Which made it WAY worse, right now if I want to switch to full screen the whole screen will go black,
and the only thing I can do to fix it is to power off the machine.

Under display I changed the setting, I changed the video memory to 67mb, and checked "Enable 2D video
Acceleration". But these are the settings that screwed up everything... So what should I do so that
I can correctly use my video software without any problems???

EDIT: I have guest additions installed.

Dear all,

I have the same problem under similar conditions (MAC OS 10.6.8 and Win XP SP3). I am using m.objects to arrange a visual presentation from music, pictures, films ... This software uses a separate projections screen which can be directed to e.g. a beamer. It principally works inside virtualbox but the projection screen remains dark (nothing to see). The SW company claims MAC OS is blocking too much resources but thats not the case. I investigated the load on both sides (MAC OS and XP) and it's fine. So is there probably an issue with a video driver connection of virtualbox?

If anyone can give a hint or might grant support this I would very much appreciate!

Newest VGA driver on the host.

Newest VBOX version.

Guest with activated 3D/2D in the guest settings and the newest guest additions (see Manual how to install in safe mode or not).

And then there are two ways: Neither it works or not. If not, then not.

Don't expect native 3d capabilities in VMs. If its not working, then you have to install a Windows via Bootcamp and Dual Boot.
