How To Restore CPU!?

Post by antinem3sis »

Hello,

So I installed Virtual Box and really enjoyed how it worked!
I installed Windows XP and worked like if I were on a Windows computer.

My issue is that I deleted that partition ( not sure if that is what its called) but I deleted it because I wanted to re install it with different settings. My Mac used to show 4 CPU's in the Activity Monitor and now it is only showing 2. I allocated 2 CPU's to Virtual Box to install Windows. How do I recover all my CPU's back??? I have already attempted to restart my Mac.

Thanks!!
Danny.

That has nothing to do with VirtualBox.

VBOX is only one of many programs. But it doesnt change any infos from your host.

They must have leaked out of the Mac when you deleted the partition (which was acting as a plug to hold them in). Have you checked under the desk to see if they spilled onto the the floor?

All joking aside, what model Mac are you using? When you open System Profiler and select Hardware what is the Total Number of Cores it shows?
