Hello all and ty for any help that comes. I downloaded and instaled last version of vb 4.1.10 on a windows 7 ultm host, my problem is, when i run vb my internet connection gets the limited acess error, when i disconect and try to connect again it is unable to connect. in order to connect it again I have to close vb, disable and enable the adapter and then connect. after reading many topics and tried some tricks, i raged and here i am posting as a search for help. i am in a laptop connected with a wirless device. i tried the "registry fix", disabling windows firewall, changed network policies, even reinstaled vb without the network options, but as always, as soon as i started the vb program my connection drops down.

edit: sry if its wrong place to post this

That is a strange issue.

If possible try connecting to the internet via Wired Connection. This will help test whether its the wireless card in your laptop that is misbehaving.

so, i disabled the wirless and connected trough cable, started the vbox, and got no problems accessing the internet. it must be something in the wirless card, tried the microsft driver for the card as they are more recent then the ones from realtek but the problem persisted. btw the card is a realtek TRL8187b wireless 802.11b/g

set "promiscuous mode" to "allow all" for every virtual machine you run on the wireless interface, this should solve the issue, it did for me at any rate on a windows vista x64 host and an atheros chipset wireless b/g card.

you can also uncheck the "enable network card" or the "cable plugged in" boxes in the virtual machines network page.

if you where using NAT for the network on the virtual machine, try switching it to bridged and setting it to the wireless card.
if it was already in bridged try the reverse, set it to nat, this of course depends on your virtual guest's network needs.
