Hi,
I use Virtual Windows 7 in VirtualBox for Mac, and it's ok yesterday i have a problem with the display and i can't change.
In Properties in VirtualBox Session Information Appears in Display Resolution : 1440 x 758 x 8 bits.
How can change to 24 bits ou 32 bits ?
Thanks
Best Ragards,

Make sure the guest additions are installed and working. Then change the guest display resolution as you normally would on any Windows 7 PC: e.g. on mine, if I right click the desktop there's a "Screen Resolution" option on the popup menu. From there there's a "Advanced" link that takes me to a dialog where all display options are listed, with color depth options too.

When I Start Windows 7 Virtualization i open Session Information Virtual Box and Appears in Display Resolution : 1440 x 758 x 24 bits, and when windows 7 is starting clomplete and ask me for user and password the Resolution change for : 1440 x 758 x 8 bits. I Goto Control Panel to change the Color and Screen Size but is locked , the color is 256 Color.
Thanks and Best Regards,

The only way I can think of that would cause that is setting a low VRAM limit that would not leave enough room for color depths higher than 8bpp at that resolution.
Even without the Guest Additions installed, Windows is able to do 32bpp (only the list of available resolutions is limited).
