guest: Win7 Pro x64 sp1
virtualbox: 4.0.16
host: ubuntu 10.04
Problem:
All of my USB devices connect to the Win7 full speed hub. In Win7 device manager, I see two USB Root Hubs, both with 8 ports available. One is operating at full speed, the other at high speed. All of my devices connect to the full speed hub.
I have a 2.0 high speed device that I really need to operate at high speed. When I plug it in, windows even gives me a message that the device can perform faster, and should be connected to a USB 2.0 high speed port.
How do I get the device to connect to one of the ports on the high speed root hub?
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Re: Win7 guest high speed usb
You installed the extension pack, yes?
Re: Win7 guest high speed usb
Yes, extension pack installed. Device is claimed by VB when plugged in, and goes right to the win7 guest.

Re: Win7 guest high speed usb
Forget all about USB high speed in the guest.
Have tested the speed with an external harddisk and can achieve a 5MB throughput - on the host the speed is above 20MB.

Were you able to connect to a guest high speed root hub?
