I have a MacBook Air running Lion OS (ver 10.7.3) as host. I have Windows XP SP3 as guest. (FYI: my Virtual Box and Extension Pack are up to date with current versions)
After installing Virtual Box I successfully set up the bridged internet adapter for use with my wireless airport connection. But I have now moved into an office that is not wireless. I have to connect with hardwire ethernet. The MacBook Air does not have an ethernet port so I had to get the USB ethernet adapter. Under the Mac host this works fine. But I can not successfully configure this to work in the Virtual Box Windows XP guest environment.
Any suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Unable to obtain ethernet connection
Check the network settings for the guest and see if the one you are using now is listed and switch to that. (guest must be shut down and not saved state)
