I have a .vhd file created from Hyper-V, I created a new vm and selected using existing disk. New vm with existing vhd disk creation is fine but it boots up and stays at black windows forever, its BLACK SCREEN OF THE DEATH!
Did I miss something? any solution? thanks.

Re: import vhd file having black screen
I am not surprised. I have never had any success creating a vm in VirtualBox from a Hyper-V .vhd file (though others claim that they have). It is probably something to do with the emulated hardware and the integration components. Of course it could be something as simple as the IO APIC setting.

Sometimes it helps to start the guest first in safe mode.
