Entry Point Not Found?
Entry Point Not Found?
When trying to install applications whether that be an updated i.e., firewall or anti virus, it always give me an entry point not found, different files are missing or something and have no idea how to rectify this, this comes after completely reinstalling windows xp. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Entry Point Not Found?
I'll assume by host you mean my main os which is windows 7 64bit professional.
Guest I assume is the os I'm using on the the VM which is windows xp 32 bit professional.
VB version is 4.0.1.
I'm installed the virtual box guest additions that came with VB, mous, keyboard and 3d acceleration, usual works.
logfile... umm not sure what logfile you're reffering to or how to retrieve it.
the exact messages are for internet explorer setup after downloading the setup exe onto desktop and running from desktop within the Virtual Machine
skylight-aura.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ie.JPG
and same for running exe for installing avg anti virus
skylight-aura.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/avg.JPG
I hope that was what you were needing, and thanks for any help.

Re: Entry Point Not Found?
Where did the XP Pro setup CD come from? These kinds of errors are typical of a botched nLite job.
Re: Entry Point Not Found?
An old CD I had from somewhere. It is a copy but I believe it's one of those that allows for a certain amount of copies to be made. I used this CD a long time ago with no problems and have it activated with no cracks or anything.
And what is nlite?
And what is nlite?

Re: Entry Point Not Found?
What does this have to do with virtualization? Google for those error messages. You'll see they are caused by an outdated/broken XP installation and are completely unrelated to virtualization.
Re: Entry Point Not Found?
sorry my bad, did a google search and didn't find much that looked like it could help but I had actually not updated xp. I was pretty sure i had previously but it must have messed up.
