Everything went small in VirtualBox

I searched around for a similar problem but didn't seem to find one. I installed Windows 95 fine in my VirtualBox and everything seemed to work fine, but the next day I started it up and everything is really small. Like, the OS itself is in a small box in the middle of the VirtualBox box, if that makes sense.

If anyone has any insight on this, I'd be very happy to hear it. I'm quite the "noob" with this kinda stuff. Thanks. I'll post a picture after my 1 day waiting period for posting pictures has passed.

There are no guest additions for Windows 95 and you will not get it full screen. You might be able to find drivers and help HERE that will help.

Moving to Windows guests.

I have installed Windows 95 also but had no size issues. I now have installed the BEAR video driver and can resize the window comfortably to about 75% of full screen with true color and it looks clear. I have read somewhere in the forums that BEAR is not all that stable but the only problem I have had so far is going to the dos prompt.

There were two drivers you might choose from. A "universal" one and a "VirtualBox" one. Unfortunately the latter was allegedly buggy so it's actually the less obvious "universal" that you should choose. I have never had any stability problem with the Bearwindows universal driver.

IMHO the Bearwindows driver is much better than that pain in the a Scitech Display Doctor thing that the old "howto" recommends.

It had better be, since SDD for Windows 9x was never officially released. All you can get is a beta version, and running on top of VBE was not exactly its intended purpose. It's a miracle that it works at all :)

Beta? It's just trialware isn't it? Nag screens and all? And of course it's also abandonware - so there is no official way to get rid of the nag screens.

I don't remember seeing any mention of it being a beta, but it's at least a year since I tried it.

Yes, beta. And shareware, yes. When SciTech closed shop, free registration codes were provided for older versions of SDD, but not 7.0 since that had never been completed.

If you found a non-beta version of SDD 7.0, I'd love to know where... the build that everyone links to has a big fat BETA thing on it, hard to miss.
