Hello
I am having issuses tyring to teleport a vm from one computer to another. Here is the background info:
Machine 1
Host OS is Windows 7 Guest OS is Fedora 16
The machine is a Dell Dimension 9150, CPU is an Intel Pentium D 2.80GHz
version of VirtualBox on machine1 is 4.1.8 r75467
Machine 2
Host OS is Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Guest is Fedora 16
The machine has an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E7400@2.80GHz
version of Virtual Box on machine2 is 3.1.6_OSE r59338 (downloaded using apt -get)
When I try to teleport the vm from machine1 to machine2 I get an error message on machine2:
unsupported version 12 ofdata unit 'cpum' (instance#1, pass 0x0) VERR_SSM_UNSUPPORTED_DATA_UNIT_VERSION
I have setup everything I can to make both machines the same.
What do I need to do to make this work.

Re: Teleportation with Virtual Box
Why not install VB 4.1.8 on machine 2? It may never make it to the repo, but you can get it directly from virtualbox.org.
Re: Teleportation with Virtual Box
I have upgraded machine number 2 to virtualbox version 4.1.8 r75467, and my initial issue was solved. Does both vm's have to be on the same disk store, or can they be on different computers. Th e reason why I ask is that when I tried teleportation, it starts the process and then times out when trying to do teleportation between to computers.
Also, is there a forum I can go to with questions about Teleportation? Either on this site or elsewhere.

Re: Teleportation with Virtual Box
Teleporting appears to be broken in the 4.1.x stream, the workaround is to use 4.0.
