how can I copy in Mac OS X and paste in Arch Linux?

I am running arch linux with Oracle VM Virtual Box Manager on Mac OS X 10.7, and am running into a problem where I cannot select text in my Mac OS X world and paste it into Arch land... I tried installing a program called KeyRemap4MacBook and enabled Mouse Keys Mode -> [option] Space to MiddleClick...

When I try copying some text from either Mac OS X or from within the terminal inside the i3 window manager, pressing option-space does absolutely nothing.

... In fact, I can't even figure out how to copy/paste from within Arch linux... And I do not have a mouse with a middle button (nor do I want one!).

Guest additions are installed properly and clipboard is enabled in the guest settings?

You are right. Now that I did some experimenting, the copy/paste works-- the issue is simply that I do not have a 3 button mouse and therefore have no way to paste! Is there anyway to tell VM Box to emulate a middle mouse click and map it to a key event?

I run BTT (Better Touch Tool) on Mac OS X to give me middle click paste in ubuntu running in VB. Get yourself a 3 button mouse or configure BTT to use a different mapping.
