Hello all,
Before setting up a Windows guest virtual machine for some testing purposes, I want to ask how is VirtualBox acting regarding hardware fingerprint (ID)? Will it be the same? Or it will change everytime the guest OS (or virtual machine) is restarted?

really need to be able to fix the hardware ids to i.e HAL and motherboard on winxp guest os.

using WinXP and OSX 10.5 as hosts

Sorry I am not sure what you want and defiantly have no idea what the person wanted from over a year ago.
You want to go a little deeper and dangle the carrot a little closer?
