Hi,

I'm trying to install Windows 7 as guest. So I made a new virtual machine, then I attached the iso image I got from msdnaa to my virtual cd/dvd drive. However, when starting, I got this error:

I'm trying to install it on a Mid 2011 13 inch macbook air with this hardware:
  • Intel Core i5 @ 1,7 GHz
  • 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Memory
  • Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
  • 256 GB Flash Storage
I'm trying to install Windows 7 Professional with SP1 (x64).

Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong?

Try activating IOAPIC in the guest settings.

I have this same problem. I'd like to try the solution offered, but I have no idea how to activate the IOAPIC settings. Can someone help?

It is in the guest settings -> system -> motherboard.
