Windows 7 error

Post by green254 »

Hi, I am running VB 4.1 on Ubuntu and I can't seem to get Windows 7 running on it. I get the "guru" thing whenever I try and run the VM.
I would upload the log, but it's bigger than 128KB. Is there a way to do it otherwise?
Sorry if this is the wrong section. Can anyone help me?
Thanks.

We need the log. Zip it up and post as an attachment.

A common mistake is allocating more memory to the VM than is available for use on the host.

Okay, I uploaded a zipped log. Could it be a bad windows .iso?
Thanks.

VirtualBox version and extension pack do not match.

Code: Select all

VirtualBox 4.1.2_Ubuntu r38459 linux.x86 (Sep 2 2011 15:32:13) release log
00:00:02.787 Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack (Version: 4.1.8 r75467; VRDE Module: VBoxVRDP)

But your real problem is the version of VirtualBox you are using. You need to upgrade to at lease 4.1.4 and preferably 4.1.8

Code: Select all
