I want to post the question and ask again for a link or reference to documentation that will instruct me how to move a VM and it's snapshots from a C:\ drive to another drive on my system (E:\).

I received a few replies when initially posting but all of the instructions from seemingly those that are knowledgeable failed and did not work. The responses came from those that have not actually tried or performed the steps they claimed would work. Very frustrating.

This is a common thing: 1) user starts using virtualbox 2) user thinks it's cool and creates many VM's 3) user runs out of disk space, gets a new drive 4) user wants to move created VM's to another hard drive.

I thought one of the selling points to virtualization was the ability to move VM's around, but I have not yet found a way.

Simply copying a directory to the destination hard drive and adding the VM via the VM manager (.vbox file) DOES NOT WORK.

You are not correct. I have in fact done this and do it a lot. You were asked to provide specific information which you did not provide and an assumption was made and indicated in the reply.
