4.1.8 crashes during install of Fedora 16

I'm having a similar problem on OS 10.6.8. I downloaded and installed VB 4.1.8, installed the extensions and I'm now trying to install Fedora 16 x86_64. VB crashes if I try to verify the ISO file or if I skip that and try to install Fedora.
Attached is the last crash log.
I've noticed in the forums that other users are having some problems with VB 4.1.x on Mac OS X, should I downgrade to VB 4.0.x? If so, what is the process for doing that.

Code: Select all
00:07:16.600 Console: VM runtime error: fatal=false, errorID=HostMemoryLow message="Unable to allocate and lock memory. The virtual machine will be paused. Please close applications to free up memory or close the VM"
00:07:16.600 Changing the VM state from 'RUNNING' to 'GURU_MEDITATION'.
This indicates that something is preventing VirtualBox from allocating and locking the memory that you specified in the guest settings. Since it looks like you have enough free RAM I would look at conflicting programs on the host. For instance Windows hosts were hit with a Google chrome issue that prevented using more than 1GB of memory for a guest.

I lowered the memory to 1 GB and the install worked. After installing I have raised the memory setting back up to 2 GB and Fedora is running fine.
Should I try to file a bug report on this? What other info can I collect?
David.

Not a problem with VirtualBox. At least not at this time. As I said look for things on the host that would prevent VirtualBox from allocating and locking the memory.
You would need to turn off host programs and services one at a time but that is the only way I know to track this down.
