Hi! I work at Czech university and we are implementing Virtual Box on our computers, but we´ve got a problem.
We need to disable students to change settings, mainly Network Settings. Is there any possibility how to manage this? We want to have one permanent setting, which won’t be changing.
Thanks

Re: How To Disable Settings
See section 9.18 in the user manual. Specifically, considering starting student VMs using a desktop shortcut, with the GUI locked down (noSelector option). There are other options described which you may also consider.

Re: How To Disable Settings
Presumably the supported setting will be NAT. If you make sure the bridged and host only networking support isn't installed at all, the damage the students can do is pretty limited.

Thanks, I´ll have a look.
No, default setting should be bridge.

Re: How To Disable Settings
In that case I don't know why you're worried, because bridged mode is by far the most dangerous.
Re: How To Disable Settings
Well they shouldnt be able to change it to NAT, cause in my case NAT is the danger
