[4.1.8-Linux HOST/Win7 GUEST]-Minimize&Restore-VM Is Black?

Running current VirtualBox 4.1.8
with a LinuxMint 12 KDE 64Bit host
and a Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 7 Home Premium 64Bit guest(fully updated).

I installed Windows(R) guest Guest Additions including "Direct3D Support"(Experimental).
( WDDM VBox Windows(R) driver is installed and Aero is working )
(allocated 256MB VRAM and enabled both 2D and 3D acceleration)

Running an nVidia GeForce GTS 450 1GB GDDR5 PCie graphics card
with current proprietary nVidia 280.13 Linux display driver.

When I minimize the Win 7 guest and then restore it
the VM is totally black and I have to manually "Refresh" the desktop
from inside Win 7 for Win 7 VM to display properly?

Is this a know problem that will be fixed?

Thanks!

Jesse

Yes it is a known issue and has not been addressed AFAIK.
But I am sure they know about it.

Hi,

Do I need to file a bug somewhere?
Will this bug be fixed in upcoming VirtualBox 4.2 ?
Thanks!

Jesse

Search and add your name to one that already exists.
There has been improvement but it still has a way to go. 3D is marked as experimental for these reasons.
