Post by cris_1986 »

Hy,
on a windows 7 machine i have virtualized a windows Xp machine.
i'm connecting in to guest vm (xp) using VRDP and it work but there is very bad video streaming performance. I have tried with rdp and the performance are the same (bad).
The video are "slow".

Can you help me?

my idea is substitute pc-desktop with thin client.. But some employees needs to use videoconference or video editing programm.. i think virtualizzation whit virtualbox is not a good idea.
Any solution?

Video streams on any rdp vrdp guest regardless of the virtualizer process is going to be slow. You are now limiting the stream to the network speed and the acceleration of the RDP software and not hardware. You can see this by increasing and decreasing the size of the playback. The smaller it is the better it plays. the larger, well you get the point.
RDP was intended to represent the desktop which it does well.
