Hey!
I previously had VB up and running but my whole system was wiped out and I am trying to get the latest VB up and running on my Windows 7 Home Premium laptop.
First go, the bootable W98 cd let me install. Thereafter, although I believe I tried everything in the Guide, I was not able to get access to the CD-ROM drive within my W98 box so I could install/copy the material I need the VB for.
I deleted the whole box and tried again. VB wouldn't even recognize the CD as bootable, and on some attempts said it couldn't read the drive.
BTW, I also (then) tried a W95 box; would not boot or read my cd, and there would be no way to access the drive without some system already installed. Right?
Sure would appreciate some magic words here. I don't have 5% of the money re-quired to re-buy the two apps I need to run.
My W7HP can read the CDs with no problem.
And I did searches here and in the Windows Host forum on CD-ROM.

Download the free ImgBurn tool, use it to make an ISO copy of the Win98 CD, use the ISO to install the guest.
