No bootable medium found!

I'm trying to run Windows XP on my Windows 7 through VirtualBox, and this is the error I'm getting.
Edit: I've found that I need an ISO image of Windows XP mounted. I've an .exe file of Windows XP downloaded from Microsoft, how do I mount that?

Unless some joker renamed an ISO image to .exe, you don't.

You would have to be specific about which .exe file you downloaded. If it's a self extracting executable then it may well unpack into a setup folder or an ISO: however Microsoft isn't in the habit of giving away free copies of their OS's or core apps, so this will be a time limited evaluation of some kind.

Oh yeah... it may not be an OS at all, all of which is why it would be nice if you (the OP) provided a link to the .exe you downloaded so we could answer the question definitively.
