ETA of GNU/Linux Guest Page Fusion?

Post by Twisted Lucidity »

I've searched the forums and only found one post form a couple of years ago asking this question.

I know that at the moment Page Fusion is only supported on 64bit hosts for Windows 2000 onwards (so yes, I have read the documentation :P).
Are there any plans (or even a timeline) for Page Fusion with GNU/Linux guests?
Or does GNU/Linux manage its memory in such a way as to preclude Page Fusion?

Thanks.

The devteam does not share their plans with us, so you'll know about any new feature when we do.

Hi

We are doing a course project on implementing page fusion for linux guest, rather than the existing windows guest implementation.
Is there any documentation which talks about the same, i.e. how is the implementation done ?
From the virtualbox forums, we could gather some information. But are there any specific resources ?

And also, is there any declared ETA on the release of linux guest page fusion? We are not aware of any.

Thanks
Nishant
