I don't know what you are doing wrong but the last two files you say you are sending are not making it here.

Save it as .txt and attach it or zip it and attach it.

Re: ubuntu stopped working
You probably have Windows set to "Hide extensions for known file types". Turn that feature off in the folder options, then supply the files Perry asked for. Zipping is best as it wastes less space, plus the site accepts attachments with .zip extensions.iprogramplus wrote:never mind the last reply.

Re: ubuntu stopped working
OK I edited out the guestaddition.iso entry so if you put this file back in the right place and rename it (remove the .txt at the end) it should allow you to boot again. Be sure that VirtualBox is not running before you do anything.
But you need to figure out why this happened in the first place. I would look in the media manager and see what it says. Also remove any CD/DVD in the guest setting that show as attached. By remove I mean set the CD/DVD to blank, do not remove the CD/DVD controller.

Re: ubuntu stopped working
After looking more at your file it appears to me that somehow you have attached the CD/DVD to the sata chain as well. If the last file did not allow you to start VirtualBox try this one.

First open the guest settings and storage section. Post a screen shot of that.

Re: ubuntu stopped working
Ok this looks good. Now start the guest and click on the device tab and then install guest additions.
This should auto-mount the guest additions and start the run in a terminal.
Read all messages closely and make note if something looks unusual and reply here.
