Hi,
I've just learned about virtualbox and I'm interested in trying it to use PlayOn on my Macbook. I'm wondering if anyone else in this forum has used it in this way and if so what your results have been.
While I've been using Macs since they first came out, I'm far from being a 'techy' -- ie, real savvy as to how they work so I could use some assistance on this.
Here are the parameters of the Mac that I'm working with:
Model Name: MacBook
Model Identifier: MacBook2,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 4 MB
Memory: 4 GB
Bus Speed: 667 MHz
Boot ROM Version: MB21.00A5.B07
SMC Version (system): 1.13f3
I'm running OS10.6.8. I've upgraded the hard drive to 500 gigs.
Can anyone help me on this project? I'd like to wean my family off of satellite TV an on to Playon.
BRAD

Try the instructions at this link PlayOn for Mac
Substitute VirtualBox for Parallels and ignore steps 3 and 4.
Another link with instructions PlayOn Install Guide for Mac that might help.
I haven't tried this myself and you may find that your MacBook is underpowered for this but it's worth a shot.
