I was running VB 4.0.4 with Win 7 32 host and guest and my USB sound card worked perfectly but I just reinstalled my host with Win 7 64 bit from 32 bit and VM 4.1.8. The guest remains win 7 32 bit. All is well until I try to add a USB sound card to the config. The guest has a red symbol on the USB icon and the host cpu starts running at a constant 13%. I've installed the sound card drivers on both the host and the guest but I'm guessing the drivers are 64 bit on the host and 32 bit on the guest. Neither the guest nor the VBbox.svc is responsive and I have to restart the host and force VB to terminate. I don't have much of a log but maybe there's something useful in it. I've searched the host and the client areas but so far haven't found anything.

I downgraded to VB 4.0.4 and all is working correctly again.
