Zone.Identifier on Shared Folder with Outlook

Mac OS X 10.7.3 Host
Win 7 Guest running Outlook 2010
VirtualBox 4.1.8
Every time I save an attachment from an email to a vbox Shared Folder I get a tmpfile:Zone.Identifier:$DATA. I know that these are streams and help identify the Internet/Intranet/whatever zones but the question is... How can I stop them from being created??? I've tried a few suggestions like the local security policy change and the Level1Remove registry key settings but nothing seems to work; these files keep getting created. I am able to delete them but I'd rather find a solution that stops them from being created as I don't really care about the zone information. Using FAT32 is not really an option either... or is it?
Has anyone found a fix to this situation?
