Hello Guys,
I am trying to clone an hd hosted on a CIFS share, but when I just use: "VBoxManage.exe clonehd \\server\share\node.vdi c:\Virtualbox\node.vdi" I get the following error:
VBoxManage.exe: error: The medium '\\server\share\node.vdi' can't be used as the requested device type

Is there a way to directly copy from a share (without nasty workarounds like mounting before copying)?

Fill out your profile. Knowing what host you were using would have been useful. As would knowing what version of VirtualBox you use.
