Host -only adapter crash afther time

Post by MWAdriano »

I have a Windows Server 2008 64 bit as host and some Guest with Windows XP 32 bit. I use a network interface "host-only network interface" (Gigabit) for communication between host and guest. However, after a few days of normal operation, the communication between the Guest and Host stops, seemingly without reason. The network interface of the Guest machines do not communicate with the host. This situation does not change if I reboot the guest machine. But if I reboot the host machine, the situation normalizes temporarily. After a few days of use, communication stops again.

Can anyone help me?

Jargon note: a crash is an uncontrolled and unexpected termination of the program. For example, the famous Windows BSOD is a crash. When a program keeps running but stops responding then it's called a hang, or a lockup.

When you describe sounds like an internal memory leak, but I haven't checked the sources. You should really report this sort of thing on the bugtracker.
