Assuming that you shut down VirtualBox after removing the VM (because the media registry persists in memory after the VM which registered that media is deleted), then it should not have been necessary to unregister the media as a separate step, which is why you were not told to do it. If a disk image persists in being registered after the owner VM is removed then it means you did something unusual and didn't tell us, for example mounting the media owned by another VM. There is no way around that: if you deleted one VM (along with its local media registry) and a disk continues to be registered, then the disk must have been registered somewhere else, because VBox can't invent disks out of thin air.justinrpg wrote:ok I got it now... apparently I had to remove it from the VitrualBox Manager AND the Virtual Media Manager (which you did NOT tell me to do)...
