Windows XP VRDP stopped working!

Post by U2XS »

I run a Win XP guest on a Win XP host. I corrupted a file & had to recreate it in VirtualBox. Basically, I went back to the console, pressed "new", gave it a title agan, RAM usage, etc. & selected the drive which had already been created. I did not reinstall. However VRDP stopped working even though the Vbox is running headless. I have installed guest additions.

It's been a while since I initially configured this... Did I miss a step or should this be working?

A screenshot of the command prompt. If the Virtualbox allowed me to connect, it would show the port number.

Did the old VM use snapshots? If yes then attaching to the base VDI from another VM would be a big no-no.

Other than that I don't use VRDP and can't help.

It's good to know that I shouldn't do that. But I didn't do it in this case.
