i'm running virtualbox 4.1.8 with a windows xp sp3 guest on a fully updated arch linux system.
i'm trying to use the latest version of itunes (v10.5.3) to manage my iphone. i've managed to set everything up, but when i try to load itunes, nothing happens. i can see in the task manager that itunes.exe gets loaded, but then it quickly vanishes.
(incidentally, v10.4.1 loads fine, but my iphone requires v10.5 or higher.)
any ideas? thanks.

Have you checked the Event Viewer inside the Guest? That's the first thing you should check.

i just took a look; there's nothing relevant in the event viewer.
