Yes there is but you have to read while you are installing. there is a check box for 3D in the (i believe) the second page. click that and a popup will ask if you want to install the 3D. Here you must answer no so it installs the wddm drivers instead.

When I install Guest Additions it appears to work in the background as nothing appears on the screen, so I just assume it is installed. Puzzled.

More than likely your autorun is disabled and all you are really doing is mounting the guest additions.

Look in the task bar by the clock. Do you have an icon that shows the guest additions are installed?

If not the open the file manager and start the install manually.

No icon but I can only find a Media Manager but it does not let me do anything.

Start the guest.
Click on devices tab at the top and select install guest additions.
If the install does not start, open the windows file manager and go to the cd/dvd drive.

I cannot find file manager but I have looked hard. I can see Guest Additions in the uninstall window, if I uninstalled it can I reinstall it and how would I do it?

If you right click on My Computer and then left click on Explorer it will open the Windows file manager.

Please see my attachment. This is what I see when I right click Computer (Win 7) clicking explorer keeps the same window.

Right click on My Computer
Left click Explore. File manager opens and click on the CD (VBox Guest Additions) The click on VBoxWindowsAdditions.exe.

Wait a minute. You are talking about windows 7. Just click my computer and you should see it.

I have done what you say but I do not see a file with .exe suffix (see attachment). I tried autorun but that did not help.

That's because you don't have Windows set to show the file extensions.
click the VBoxWindowsAdditions.

Thanks Guest Additions is now loaded I just need to test it when the sport starts later. There were 3 applications to chose from your pointed me in the right direct, the 64 bit one I knew was wrong as I have 32 bit but would not have know which one of the two to select without your help, thanks again. In the settings box I changed Windows 7 to Windows 7 64 bit but cannot find out how I did it, as I wish to change it back see the attachment.

Football links on Sopcast are still no good so I think I might need to abandon this program unless you can thing of any other solutions.

I have increased video ram but it did not help much, I don't know if I can go higher than 28 Mgb what do you think? Should I start a new post.
